New Ink

So, I'm pretty tattooed. It's been a long time since I have had any work done though. It's expensive. It's painful. My mom hates it. So I've been thinking for a long time about whether I would ever do any more tattoos. This summer I decided I would. With the passing of my birth mother and the arrival of my second daughter, I spent a lot of time thinking about the word "mother." I am a mother of two. I had two mothers. I reached out to Seth Wood and made an appointment. I had no idea what I wanted the tattoo to look like, but I emailed him a few very preliminary ideas with the meaning I was going for. This is what he drew:

For my mom (even though I know you hate my tattoos), Fran, Thora and Freyja: the four most important people in my life (apart from Johnny).
